“In Times of Trouble” is a theatre/arts based project reaching out to youth and improving mental health outcomes for teenagers in the Canterbury Bankstown area.

Through theatre based activities self confidence will be boosted and social isolation reduced. The project will bring young people from a diverse range of cultures and abilities together (either physically or virtually) and will create alternate opportunities for these young people to engage in physical activities, experience teamwork and addresses the high prevalence of depression and anxiety noted as being of particular concern of local young people. Local young people have told us that drama has helped them build self confidence and increase their sense of belonging within the community. This will be project that is accessible to all, including young people from CALD backgrounds, members of the LGBTIQA community and those living with disabilities. This program is designed as a resource for young people
