Leichhardt Municipal Council’s much loved Footprints Ecofestival returns for 2015 at Whites Creek Valley Park, Annandale on Sunday, 23 August from 11am-3pm. Whether you’re an avid environmental crusader, eco-novice, young or old – everyone will find something fun in this community day packed full of entertainmentsuch as Horizon’s street theatre & roaming characters.
Kids will be kept busy with recycled art workshops, face painting, native wildlife shows and main stage entertainment including ‘Play Along with Sam’ featuring former yellow Wiggle Sam Moran. Other main stage entertainment includes the Yaama Boys, Ecopella, Ciao Magazine’s Recycled Fashion Parade and Julia Jacklin.
There are plenty of workshops and demonstrations, including pickling, fermenting, homemade beauty products and bee-keeping! Last but not least, the ever popular bicycle-powered Footprints Film Festival will be screening a series of eco-themed short films.

Canterbury City Council’s Haldon Street Festival has evolved to become a landmark event for our local businesses, residents and visitors. This festival continues to bring our community together in a celebration promoting the theme of the festival –‘Respect, Unity & Peace’.
The festival draws approximately 25,000 people to the heart of, Haldon Street. It’s here where audiences experience the ambience of unique international cuisines, diverse cultures and great community spirit in a fun filled atmosphere.
The Haldon Street Festival has continued to grow as an event over the years with sponsors, stallholders, performers and the public continuing to offer support through sponsorship, selling of merchandise and food, providing entertainment and more.

Each and every year Horizon Theatre takes part in the planing, preparations and presenting of the Haldon St Festival.
This year we were out and about in the parade, providing colourful characters and performing Punch & Judy to (at the Bulevard stage and on SBS stage)
